I have learned so much from you already and I find that Olivia and I are always telling Paul about the "cool" stuff we learned from our Cantor Ron. I have always wanted 'being Jewish' to be different for Olivia than it was for me. I wanted it to be joyful and meaningful and I wanted her to feel like a Jewess because she wanted it not because of fear. I wanted our Judaism to open it's arms wide enough to embrace my wonderful husband and make him feel included. I can already see the two of you working together to find his Hebrew song for the service and I know how this will afffect all of us in such a beautiful way. Paul admires you and I can see how he is 'owning' the whole process much more than before we started working with you. Even Olivia, who you can see is such a good student, is back in the groove of it all which quite frankly she had lost studying at Tehillah. Ron, I don't know what put you on this journey but I can sense it was an important decision for you. | "Dear Cantor Broden, Thank you for providing a fantastic Bar Mitzvah service. We have received raving reviews from friends and family about it. Some have told us that they have been to many Bar Mitzvah ceremonies but this was the best they have seen. My neighbor's daughters said that they were sorry that they did know about this type of service at the time of their Bat Mitzvahs. Those who were experiencing a Bar Mitzvah ceremony for the first time, told us that they expected a boring and dry event but were pleasantly surprised and delighted with the service. They felt that it was fun and exciting, very different from what they had in mind. Everyone thought that you were great and loved the added touch of the guitar. The Jewish people there, felt that the event was refreshing and an excellent alternative to the services provided at temples. Cody, Richard and I feel that you have provided a Bar Mitzvah ceremony that totally fit our style and taste. It far exceeded our expectations. I was nervous prior to the event but once you got started I found it to be more of a relaxed service, and I was able to enjoy the ceremony and my anxiety for Cody subsided. We believe that the type of service that you provided was certainly part of the reason why Cody performed as well as he did. It eliminated the stress and fear that is normally associated with such an event. There is no way that we would have enjoyed the service as much, if it was held at our previous temple.
