My name is and I want to welcome you to my website.  I have been an ordained cantor since 1990.  In later years, I went back to school to further my Jewish education to become an ordained rabbi.  By any title, I am Reform Jewish clergy of humanistic leanings who has created a specialty in addressing the needs of the Jewish and interfaith community. Learn more about me and my credentials in the "About Us" section.

You can use the links on the left side for details on many of my services including Jewish, Interfaith, Non-Denominational and civil ceremonies (I am a registered officiant in NY, NJ and CT but can perform destination weddings by providing you a copy of my certification), private Bar/Bat Mitzvah services, baby naming ceremonies, and Funeral services. I have also created a "Frequently Asked Questions" page to try to answer some of your questions but of course you are also welcome to contact me directly with your questions.  CLICK Here to read Ronald Broden's article featured on the New York Bar/Bat Mitzvah Guide.

I am glad to meet with you at your convenience for a no obligation, consultation. After getting to know more about me through this site, please go to the "Contact Us" page and indicate the kind of ceremony you are interested in.  I will send you an email of a complete, suggested ceremony for your specific occasion. Be sure to visit www.KetubahsandMore.com for great prints and the guaranteed best prices on all your ceremonial needs.

The Jewish community is very different than it was 44 years ago when I was born.  At that time, interfaith weddings accounted for less than 10% among Jews getting married and synagogue affiliation was over 90%.  We are blessed in this country to be able to identify ourselves as Americans.  While anti-semitism will always exist, it has become marginalized in our society.  More and more American Jews feel comfortable marrying someone of a different faith or religious history.  In fact, the rate of intermarriage in the American Jewish community according to leading studies is now around 60%.  Affiliation with a synagogue and regular attendance at worship services has decreased.  We are no longer an insulated community.  Our close friends are not necessarily Jewish and our choice in a life partner may not be either.  Our children have so many responsibilities and choices that there isn’t always the time to devote 4 – 6 hours per week for 5 years of religious schooling prior to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

This is the community I have chosen to serve.  I will travel anywhere in the country to perform the ceremonies listed above.

I am located in Westchester, NY; 25 minutes north of Manhattan by the Metro North train line and a two block walk from the Crestwood train station.
