About Us

Rabbi Ron Broden

has performed hundreds of weddings, Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies as well as all Jewish lifecycle ceremonies. Ron Broden earned a Master of Arts in Sacred Music and Ordination as a Cantor from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion followed later by ordination at Mesifta Adas Wolkowisk/The Rabbinical Academy of Woodmere New York. He has served Temple Avodah in Oceanside, NY, Temple Israel of Holliswood, NY and presently at Shaarei Shalom in Riverdale, NY. He has been a member of the New York Board of Rabbis and the American Conference of Cantors.
Ron is particularly fluent in the wide scope of Jewish music, from the sacred traditions to the folksong repertory. His guitar playing and his voice enable him to soar through the majestic compositions of the Reform movement’s musical treasure trove, to the most contemporary spirited renditions of Shabbat and holiday prayers.
Cantor Broden has served as a musical director, arranged temple choral festivals, and has organized and directed professional, volunteer adult and children’s choirs. He has lectured on Jewish music and liturgy, directed Religious School music and B’nai Mitzvah programs, served as an Adult Education and Hebrew High School Instructor.

About UsRabbi Ron Broden

Rabbi Broden is the best! Last year my daughter’s wedding and last night my son’s. Both times he hit a home run! So thoughtful in designing a ceremony that fits your particular needs. Responsive , communicative and reliable. Last night he co officiated with my dil‘s family pastor. He planned with him and helped create a loving, moving, joyous, humorous yet spiritual ceremony. Everyone is texting me telling how much they enjoyed it. He has an infectious joy that comes through his officiating. If you don’t have a family rabbi , which we didn’t a year ago, now you do! Thanks so much Rabbi!
